Check back for our 2021 date TBA.
For the past 6 years our staff has been laboring out of rented facilities and temporary tin huts in an impoverished, predominately Mayan area where educational opportunities did not exist nor was education valued because every hand was needed laboring to acquire daily sustenance. Our persistent efforts though have slowly seen this community grow to value education and desire to have their children in the care of our loving, Christian staff. As a result, this year’s enrollment jumped from 52 to 95. We literally had kids sitting 2 to a chair when Covid-19 hit and Guatemala locked down the entire country in mid-March. Since then, this impoverished community has seen hunger skyrocket as these street worker families now have no means of earning a living. Stores and business remain closed, public transport has been halted, travel between cities forbidden, schools closed, fines for being outside one’s house without a mask reaching $20,000, etc. Our Fiesta aims to help them survive this crisis. Even when the Fiesta is over, your sponsorship will allow the work to continue.
